time content with the help of Quantum StorNext, to create the atmosphere
of a live event, such as a soccer game. With StorNext, multiple editors
can quickly and simultaneously extract content from live ingest to create
clips for real time play-out. The tiered storage environment, which also
incorporates a Scalar i2000 intelligent tape library, allows Mediaset to
cost-effectively manage vast quantities of multi-Petabyte content.
